No internet multiplayer !!! SHAME ON YOU

after the last update of civilisation V my mac suddenly shut down after the installation of the last “bug”-fix.My reserve iMac started with to show similar symptoms, but I reacted in time.I deleted civilisation V and all problems were gone.Aspyr gave no comment. pity, I liked Civilisation V, it’s been an awesome game until the latest “improvements” that shredded one iMac

From scratch : please give us the SDK, even for 15-30 $ Even, we couldn’t modify the DLL, no problem… So frustrating the fact not having the SDK… It could relaunch sells on App Store in no time… Should be available only on Mac App Store

Não funciona direito em Macbook Pro com comprados no final de 2011 ou início de 2012. O meu tem 8 gb de RAM, 2,8 GHz e mesmo assim o jogo sempre trava depois de um tempinho porque a Aspyr não dá suporte pra placa de vídeo e nem quer resolver o problema. Depois de comprar fui ver em dezenas de fóruns que um mundo de gente tem o mesmo problema que eu. It just doesn’t work properly with Macbook Pros buyed till march of 2012. It freezes all the time and you have to force the reboot of your machine after few minutes. Aspyr does not give support for the video card controller and just dont care about solving the issue as you can check in inumerous foruns. Double check before buying.

Na minha versão não há opção para unir as peças para formação na nave espacial para vencer a partida atravês da ciência. The game don’t have the option to unite the pieces of the spaceship. That’s frustrating.

This version of Civilization fulfills all hopes I had before - and adds a couple of interesting twists, such as the restriction of having only one military unit in the same slot, preventing the helpful "unit stacks" of previous versions. Very nice, in-depth documentation, characters speaking their native tongue (as far as I can tell, at least), city states that start to provide meaning instead of easy goals for conquering, … If you like strategy games, buy this one!

Stupid game suddenly freezed and stopped working. The problem is reported in their web site but they offer no solution. Waste of money, I feel robbed!!!!!

Simply an amazing game graphic wise and the gameplay is addictive and challenging… a must have game

liked the game but i run it on a mac pro with only 4g of ram and after i get deep into the game its freezes on me like clock work. but like i said i liked the game.

One of my favourite games of all time but if you buy this game on itune, you wont be able to play with players on steam network. I am so disappointed with it.

Addons are too pricey. You can get the whole thing on steam for less than half as much. Fun game though…be warned…its a time hog.

I keep trying to download the Brave New World expansion but every time it says I need to change my billing info when I have enough iTunes money to buy and I dont understand!!!!! Help!!!!! Is iTunes money not excepted?!

Apparently someone did not do their homework. The Vikings were fierce warriors, incredible builders, accomplished sailors and a stalwart people. This scenario pack portrays them as stupid, lazy, inept and morose. They are unable to advance significantly in the tech tree. The rate at which they build regular structures is abysmally slow (therefore building wonders is nothing but a joke!). They rarely win any battles and are easiy destroyed by even the weakest foe. They are virtually impossible to keep happy for any significant length of time. To top it all off, nobody will trade with them for anything! If you love being frustrated by your favorite game, purchase the Vikings scenario pack

Bought it on Steam before the price reduction here, and had problems launching game. Steam was passing the buck saying it was this company’s software and should contact them. This of course was untrue as when it did lauch from time to time on Steam it ran flawlessly as it does here. The difference it runs off the hard drive vs cloud on Steam. How they ever think they will make it as a console company with terrible support and faulty cloud techonology is beyond me, and now they are launching a OS! Look out ! Nuff about Steam, trust the app store buy your games here, and this one is a beauty!

Now Im not sure what the guys problem with steam is, from my experience and others they are generally a great company to buy games from (apple store also has great support). Im buying from the app store since I have a gift card that needs to be used and the sale here is 66% off while yes it is only 50% on steam. However you can buy all the expansions on steam in a bundle for a much reduced price so weigh that into consideration if you plan on getting the expansions.

I found the game to generally good, the graphics are good on my 2011 MacBook Pro running 8GB of RAM. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because I’ve always had problems with the online functions, as well as that the Leader’s Screen (as it’s called) will not render at high quality, only low. Actually, a lot of graphics are restricted to medium or lower. It has good gameplay, timing, customisation, and replayability. The only other downside I’ve seen in it is if you launch a game with every single civilisation, the computers’ turns will take a bit of time so be patient. I’m not sure why some people get so up in arms over where they purchased the game, the only comment I’ll make is purchase it wherever you want to as it’s your money. Overall, it’s a great game that I’d definitely recommend to people. P.S. Please introduce Canada as a civilisation, Canadians are tired of being forced to play as Americans in games geographically. I don’t mind playing as the British being Canadian, but I would love to see Canada in a future game.

This is a really great game, I like how it builds around your personal playstlye whether you are aggressive or diplomatic. WOuld recommend it to anyone who enjoys games like RISK!

The in-app purchases will not work in Snow Leopard. OSX 10.7 or newer is required. On older (2010 and older) Macs using 10.6 or older OSX, the game is a memory hog. You will have to drop other applications while in it. If I ever get Apple to finally send me the download link to Mountain Lion, I will upgrade and then be back in business. (Not yet ready for Maveric)
