Great game, great update, great replayability, great add-on What are you waiting for idiots Game for the patient men .

Only thing was online play doesn’t come up and Id say iam average on computer skills but could not figure it out, still waiting for help

I’m not very experienced with video games, but this one was very fun to learn and play. There’s a lot to learn in the beginning but after the initial curve I really got into it. Every new game can be different depending on how you play it. I love how you can win multiple ways, for example by conquering all the other empires with your military, by making alliances, or by advancing your technology the fastest. I would suggest playing it in the faster mode because it can get a bit tedious and drawn out in my opinion if you decide to play the longer way- each new game is easily customizable, with different nations, maps, time periods and difficulty. I would definitely recommend it!

As others have said, classic and addictive game but on my Macbook Air it runs hot and forget about playing it if you are not plugged in. Will drain the battery in less than an hour.

Had my hard drive wipped. Tried to reinstall but these folks have increased the minimum system requirements which now prevents me from downloading! Not cool.

Paid quite a bit of money for this game on the App Store a couple years ago. Always plagued with its share of minor problems, but none so bad you couldn’t play it. Until I got my new iMac with El Capitain. For some reason, Civ V doesn’t appear in my purchased apps and Apple expects me to purchase it all again…at full retail costs. Not bloody likely. Steam it is from now on for my DL games.

For the last few weeks this game has been freezing/crashing my iMac Retina….bloody awful piece of crap.

As pointed out by a few other reviewers, this game now crashes all the time, wiping out your progress even with AutoSave enabled.

Played this game over and over and never gets boring. This is best strategy game..

App said it is damages and won’t open from my macbook anymore. I have the correct operating system, and it just will never open. So disappointing. I paid 40$ for something I can’t use. Needs bug fixes!!!!!!!!

This game Is the best. You will never play a better strategy game. The AI is a bit predictable but when you play with other humans the fun just gets better. An old game that if released today would be loved just the same. Been playing the civ games since 3, they’re just getting better (not beyond earth.)

Be aware this Mac version does not have internet multiplayer mode. Would have been great. Look into steam if you want to play online in multiplayer mode.

This mac version of civ 5 does not have sufficient great people. Great musician, great writer and great admiral are deleted in this game. Bad moves! Also, the AIs are so stupid that I dont have any motives to trade or cooperate with them. I can only develope my military force to conqure them. No politics at all and their political actions cannot be more stupid!

Painfully slow, freezes, overly cluttered menus... a major disappointment compared to previous versions of Civilization on the Mac. You cant even skip the start-up movie until several seconds into it. I cant believe that the makers of this title released this...

The game is basically unplayable over a LAN. Not only are most game setup options absent, but the game constantly decouples and turns human players into computer opponents.

Yes on my brand new 2012 book air the HD 3000 graphics card it comes with is apparantly not supported but works fine when I tried it. On my 13 inch late 2010 mac book that is apparantly supported it is painfully slow after a 100 turns of so. The biggest dissapointment is that you cant play multiplayer with all you friends who got the game form steam. As a bonus you can actually install it twice on two macs authroized with your app store account and play a lan game on yoru home network wiht the one user id. In the end it just ened up buying it twice from steem just so I could play it with other people. Its a great game but it shoudl be called Civ V for app store home users not Civ 5 because you cant even play it with your friends.
